The Wizard of Oz – Dementia Friendly (U)

Free screening of the MGM classic. Promoting Dementia Awareness Week.
In this charming film based on the popular L. Frank Baum stories, Dorothy and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado’s path and somehow end up in the land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage.

Dementia Friendly
We screen films in a dementia friendly format every week as the first show of the day on Tuesdays in the Connaught main screen. The films play with the lights up, the sound down, without ads and with specially trained staff on hand to help with any problems.

This screening is completely free as part of Dementia Awareness week. Tickets will be available online from Mon 6 May – Maximum 4 per person, but are available now through our Box office in person or on (01903) 206 206, so if you are part of an organisation or require more tickets, and would like to make a booking, please contact us before the screening becomes available to the general public.
