GRETCHEN PETERS with very special guest Kim Richey
For two decades, two-time Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Gretchen Peters has been one of America’s most beloved and respected artists. People Magazine wrote, “she has already earned herself a spot among country’s upper echelon of contemporary composers.”
Inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014 by singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell, who called her “both a songwriter and a poet who sings as beautifully as she writes.”
Peters has accumulated accolades as a songwriter for artists as diverse as Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, The Neville Brothers, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Bryan Adams and Faith Hill.
Her 2015 album, ‘Blackbirds’, debuted at #1 on the UK Country chart, in the top 40 UK single charts and was awarded International Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Her new album, as yet untitled, is due for release in May 2018.
Support comes from Kim Richey. Richey has built a reputation as a singer who can interpret a lyric and harmonise with the best of them, all the while writing songs with an optimistic melancholy quality that is unusual and alluring.
“One of the greatest female singer-songwriters of all time.”
“One of Nashville’s greatest talents of the past two decades… still equipped with the ability to stop clocks with a well-turned phrase.”
